About the project

A non-profit housing platform run by the Stockholm Federation of Student Unions (SSCO), built to make finding fair-priced student housing radically easier. I volunteered as a developer, shipping features that thousands of students rely on while navigating one of Europe's tightest housing markets.

Noticeable changes

• Built automatic language detection that translates housing descriptions on the fly, so international students read every listing in their own language.
• Implemented a brand-new ad-posting form pixel-perfect from a Figma design, owning the full hand-off from design to production.
• Worked in a real production codebase serving a live, high-traffic public service.
• Collaborated closely with a cross-functional team of UX designers and developers, turning Figma hand-offs into production-ready features.
• Managed work with Git and GitHub, with continuous deployment on Vercel across separate staging and production environments.
• Verified every change locally before opening a merge request and promoting to production, keeping a live public service stable.
