About the project
Z17 is a full-spectrum dental clinic in Göttingen, Germany, with specialists and an in-house master lab under one roof. I am leading a ground-up rebuild that migrates a legacy Joomla site to a React and TanStack Start application on the Cloudflare edge, with assets on R2 and server logic on Workers for fast, globally distributed delivery. The rebuild is almost across the finish line.

Performance users actually feel
The rebuild replaced a legacy Joomla stack with a React and TanStack Start application served from Cloudflare's edge. The result is a page that responds instantly on the devices patients actually use, with a faster first paint, smoother interaction, and a layout that settles cleanly instead of shifting under the reader. Synthetic scores are a useful sanity check, but the meaningful win is the lived experience: the site now behaves the way a modern clinic should.
